4 Breathtaking Northwest Washington Wedding Venues (Whatcom and Skagit Counties)

Imagine saying your vows amidst lush greenery or toasting forever with incredible mountains close by. You can do just that at some of the best Northwest Washington wedding venues! This area is known for its incredible beauty, plus it’s home to the breathtaking North Cascades National Park and Mt. Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest.

As a pet wedding attendant based here in Washington State, I’ve witnessed firsthand how love stories can unfold at spectacular locations throughout this blog post. My role has allowed me to assist couples in incorporating their pets into their wedding day, making it even more special.

Throughout this post, you’ll learn all about the best Northwest Washington wedding venues. We’ll cover the unique features each location offers along with amenities and why you might want to consider saying “I do” there.

Northwest Washington Wedding Venues

Lairmont Manor, Bellingham

This list of incredible wedding venues in the northwest part of Washington State would not be complete without including the Italian Renaissance beauty that is Lairmont Manor. Built in the early 20th century, this venue is a perfect match if you want something that feels like you’re in Europe while being in the United States.

Just for some brief history, Lairmont Manor was the home of the Larrabee Family, and later, in the mid-20th century, became a school and home for nurses who were in training. Another local family, the Douglas family, restored the home in 1967, and it has since been added to the US National Register of Historic Places. Today, it’s used as a popular wedding space and also hosts cultural and community events.

When you get married at Lairmont Manor, you’re truly receiving a one-of-a-kind venue experience. The venue really serves as an incredible backdrop to a wedding. With booking, you get exclusive use of the estate along with amenities like a one-hour rehearsal dinner, a venue coordinator who will support you (including helping with pre-event set up), a commercial kitchen, a summer tent, use of the piano, and more.

One of the aspects that makes Lairmont Manor so special is that there are so many spaces throughout that you can utilize. There are spaces outdoors; there’s the huge wedding tent outside that can be set up and more. It really can be used to match any type of wedding aesthetic, as there are more nature-filled spaces, dark and moody areas with wooden walls, and even ones that feel very bright and light.

Evergreen Gardens Venue, Ferndale

Situated in Whatcom County’s Ferndale is the Evergreen Gardens Venue. Trust me when I say that if you want a magical, classic PNW backdrop, then Evergreen Gardens is truly the venue for you. The space is dedicated to providing a sustainable wedding and event space and is situated on 4 acres of grounds that will truly take your breath away.

There are many different areas throughout Evergreen Gardens that can be utilized. There are the outdoor gardens, which are incredibly picturesque (trust me, you’ll want some wedding photos with this backdrop), an outdoor pavilion under the stars, which has a wooden ceiling (it’s truly one-of-a-kind), and more. There’s even a fire pit with firewood if you want some toasty S’mores with your closest family and friends!

You didn’t think it ended there, did you? You can actually have an entire getaway at Evergreen Gardens for your wedding. There’s a beautiful lodge that can sleep ten people per evening that’s exclusively available just to those who have booked the venue during specific parts of the year. Imagine staying at a tranquil log cabin for your wedding!

The wedding season at Evergreen Gardens is from May to September, and weddings are hosted between Friday and Sunday. There is also micro-wedding availability between Monday and Thursday for those who will be having fewer than 50 guests. The investment changes depending on when the event is.

There are many great amenities included at the venue, including access to the pavilion, chairs, tables, dressing rooms, parking, patio heaters, blankets, lawn chairs, coffee pots, and even lawn games like giant Jenga (yes, you read that right), cornhole, Connect 4, and bocce ball. You truly can’t go wrong with a wedding here!

Santucci Farm, Mount Vernon

Mount Vernon’s Santucci Farm is another one of the incredible northwest Washington wedding venues. This is one of the most historic venues in the area, dating back to 1883 when it was a homestead. Because of its history, there’s lots of beauty throughout this venue that will really make your wedding unforgettable.

The venue is currently owned by Tori and Bob Santucci (hence the name), who were born and raised in the PNW. They loved the area so much and dreamed of owning a wedding venue after they got married. So, they put a lot of heart into Santucci Farm!

There are multiple different spots throughout the farm where you can host your event. The barn and grounds can host up to 125 guests, and venue rental pricing ranges depending on when the event is. The venue rental has inclusions such as cocktail tables, yard games (woohoo!), chairs, and more to make the day as easy as possible for you.

The event season is between May and October, and there is a smaller wedding package available for elopements and micro-weddings with fewer than 20 guests. For those wanting to really have a blank canvas to work from, you really can’t go wrong with Santucci Farms. Choose between grass lawns, the historic barn, and even the patio!

Semiahmoo Resort, Blaine

Last but certainly not least is Semiahmoo Resort in Blaine! For those wanting to get married near the water and the mountains in Washington, this is the perfect venue to consider. Weddings here can also be a lot larger than others on this list, as you can have up to 250 guests.

Wedding packages at Semiahmoo include up to nine hours of venue access, the essentials (like dining tables, linens, glassware, etc.), complimentary parking, table decor, and a dedicated planning partner, among other amenities.

Similar to other northwest Washington wedding venues, Semiahmoo Resort has a variety of different wedding spaces from which you can choose. There’s the tent pavilion, which has beautiful lighting and custom chandeliers. For those who want an extravagant event, the Semiahmoo Ballroom is an elegant option, with a beautiful ambiance and dark carpets. Other options include the Stars Room (which is dual-level), which has lots of natural lighting; the Victoria Room, which overlooks Semiahmoo Bay; and the courtyard, which is perfect for smaller weddings of up to 60 guests.

You truly can’t go wrong with exchanging your vows anywhere at Semiahmoo Resort. Just remember that because this is a popular wedding venue (it’s been consistently mentioned in Wedding Wire’s Couples’ Choice Awards), you’ll want to make your reservations early so that you can snag your desired wedding date!
